Community of Practice
What is the Community of Practice?

The Community of Practice (CoP) is envisioned as a light-touch, inclusive learning space that validates the problem landscape, supports emergent learning from Lab prototypes, strengthens field-level capacity, and generates insights that can inform CMHC’s understanding of early-stage community-led housing.

Join us on the 25th of september for our upcoming Community of Practice session.

This session brings together nonprofit housing operators and others working alongside community-led housing initiatives to explore what it means to be ready for the predevelopment phase.

Session 2 - Predevelopment Ready? Diagnosing the Gap Before You Commit

Join us on the 25th of September as we bring together nonprofit housing operators and others working alongside community-led housing initiatives to explore what it means to be ready for the predevelopment phase.

Session 1- Learning Together in Early-Stage Housing

Session 1 was an orientation in the truest sense. Participants arrived carrying their own projects, their own contexts, and their own accumulated frustrations and hopes. The session gave them space to introduce themselves through those experiences, and what surfaced was a surprisingly coherent picture of a sector working hard against structural conditions that are genuinely difficult
